Our Impact

The Fred Mayer Foundation was established in memory of Fred Mayer — Hungarian immigrant, founder of F Mayer Imports (now Mayer Fine Foods), lifelong water polo man, and someone who genuinely lived by the philosophy that "everyone's a mate." The Foundation carries that spirit forward through the various Charities it supports.

Sydney Uni - Water Polo

Sydney University Water Polo provides a safe, positive environment for players from U12 to Open, offering specialist coaching, local and international competition, and a pathway from recreational play through to State and National representation.

Vinnies

Vinnies provides food, shelter and support to people facing homelessness and hardship, including through Sydney's Matthew Talbot Hostel.

North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club

Formed in 1906 as one of Australia's first surf clubs, North Bondi SLSC has spent more than a century keeping beachgoers safe — its volunteer patrols, junior nippers and surf sports programs are a Bondi institution.

Mark Hughes Foundation

The Mark Hughes Foundation funds research, raises awareness and supports patients and families facing brain cancer — a disease that receives less than 5% of federal cancer research funding.

GWS Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney provides free accommodation, meals and support to families whose children are receiving treatment at The Children's Hospital at Westmead.

St Vincents Clinic - Open Support

Open Support is a Sydney charity based at St Vincent's Clinic that supports women and children escaping domestic and family violence, and people experiencing social isolation — offering residential support, case management and specialist care.
